About the event

In this comprehensive Article 9 training class, students will delve into effective teaching techniques approved for use with individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as those that are strictly prohibited. The curriculum covers the fundamental rights of people with developmental disabilities and practical ways to support individuals in expressing and exercising these rights.

Participants will receive valuable tips on positively reinforcing new skills and will gain an understanding of behavior plans, including their purpose and implementation. By the end of the course, learners will appreciate the deeper significance of Article 9, which emphasizes enhancing dignity and promoting autonomy for individuals with developmental disabilities.

This class not only educates but also empowers students to make a significant impact in the lives of those they assist, ensuring practices that uphold respect and dignity at all times.
