About the event
Please refrain from registering shortly before the event, as entry will not be permitted.
An invitation link will be sent via Microsoft Teams one day prior to the training session.
Materials will be distributed on the same day via email.
The class will cover teaching techniques that require approval and those that are not permissible for a paid professional. Participants will learn about the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities and how to assist them in expressing these rights. Additionally, the class will provide strategies for positively supporting individuals when teaching new skills. Participants will also learn about behavior plans and their purposes. Ultimately, attendees will leave the Article 9 class with an understanding that the practice of Article 9 is about assisting individuals in maintaining and enhancing their dignity.
