About the event
The class curriculum includes teaching techniques that necessitate approval, as well as those that are prohibited for use by paid professionals. Students will gain knowledge about the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities and learn how to assist them in expressing these rights. Additionally, the course will provide strategies for positively supporting individuals when teaching new skills. Students will also be introduced to behavior plans, including their purpose and application. Ultimately, participants will complete the Article 9 class with an understanding that the practical application of Article 9 focuses on helping individuals not only maintain dignity but also enhance it.
