Positive Behavior Support

Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a person-centered approach that enhances relationships between members and their caregivers. It involves a collection of research-based strategies designed to decrease challenging behaviors and enhance quality of life. The PBS training model provides Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and caregivers with the necessary skills, tools, and resources to support effective behavior change. This training often results in a more supportive and improved environment for individuals receiving services from the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
