About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers / Home Health Aides. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to our developmentally disabled clients in the comfort of their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with various everyday tasks, promote their well-being, and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
Provide assistance with feeding and ensure that clients' nutritional needs are met in accordance with prescribed diets.
Perform laundry services for clients, ensuring clean and tidy living spaces.
Accompany clients to appointments and outings, providing safe and reliable transportation.
Engage in meaningful companionship with clients, promoting emotional well-being and fostering a supportive environment.
Observe and report any changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
Comply with all agency policies and procedures, adhering to state regulations and guidelines.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided and any significant observations.
Requirements
Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older.
Ability to obtain a level 1 fingerprint card as mandated by state regulations.
Obtain relevant credentials (Prevention and Support, Article 9, CPR/First Aid, Neglect and Abuse) before the 90-day probation period.
Possess a valid AZ Driver License/ID and Social Security Card.
Reliable transportation is essential for commuting to clients' homes and appointments.
While experience in Group Homes is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Applicants with relevant experience in the care of elderly individuals or those with intellectual or developmental disabilities will be given preference.
